October 12 - October 30, 2020 Clinical facilities review and update availability for both cohort and preceptor programs. We understand some clinical facilities will need to modify future availability if census and building plans change. These changes can be done as needed throughout the year.
November 2 to November 22, 2020 Schools make requests for all courses that start in mid-January through the end of the spring terms. (Courses that usually end by May 30)
November 23 to December 4, 2020 Clinical facilities review proposed requests and make placement decisions. Clinical facilities are encouraged to accept long-standing/historic placements and to decline proposals they know they cannot accommodate as quickly as possible, as a courtesy to schools.
The Bakersfield Nursing Resource Center is a collaborative effort between the Foundation for California Community Colleges and the California Institute for Nursing & Health Care (CINHC). The Foundation develops the online applications and has oversight for the entire project, while Bakersfield College has the primary responsibility for leading all community outreach activities and collaboration with the users of the Southern San Joaquin Valley.
